Mine was bought off Ebay a few years ago, I'll be changing it sometime soon - when I can decide what next!

Aye, you'd have to have change to a MY99/00 bumper to have a P1 splitter, they look much better to IMO

Is it possible to fit a facelift front bumper to '96 plate? or does it require more work than just a replacement bumper?

I facelifted mine, you need a bumper, indicators, wedge grills, and either spots or covers. I payed about £100 for the lot, plus paint. The splitter was an extra £100.
If you're lucky, you may find one in your colour, saving a lot of money!
