i've just always fancied one. the main issues are that there are some small dents at the front of the bonnet which cant be removed due to that part being double skinned and i dont really want them filled and painted. also when driving at silly speeds the bonnet looks like its gonna come off the car it wobbles that much. im not just looking for an excuse to part with my cash honest
Not my thing really . I somehow think a Scooby loses its 'Scoobyness' once the scoop has been removed. Looks the dogs danglies as it is.........
If you want to donate the MK1 XR2 in the background I would be more than happy to take it off your hands
most of it has been so now mate but i like ya style . think the shells fooked anyway. was a rapid car though, had 1780cc pinto in it with 5 speed cvh conversion. they were a great car back in the day.
so which one is better for the engine and performance?
Depends whether you're running a FMIC or a TMIC. FMIC would benefit from reverse scoop but a TMIC needs the normal scoop to force the air through it. I have a FMIC however I have left the normal scoop on cos IMHO I think it looks better

Always worth a try
I had an 1800 cvh 5 spd Mk1 XR2 lookalike. Was great fun!!
I'm looking for a decent shell to build a turbo version......the hunt continues

might be able to help you with that mate the guy who owns that xr2 (who it a top friend of mine) has another one. its not an xr2 but as far as im aware the shell is in good condition. has all sorts of other bits too ie full roll cage suspension kits etc. have no idea what he wants for them but if yuor interested then pm me your email or number and i'll see what i can do
Hi mate if i were you i would leave it as it is as i think your car looks the dogs nuts. The bonnet your looking at IMO is too much, less is more an all that</p>
