Default My Version3 Type R 555 Edition

Well as some of you may or may not know, i sold the Spec C last week for basically what i paid for the car.. the car itself was superb but as always wasn,t getting used and basically it was 16k just sat in my garage... it was going to cost me another 2k or so for mapping etc too so it was a no-brainer really, sell and get a classice and bank some pennies.

So, after seeing this Type R on Pistonheads and the great Spec it,d got already i called Mark the owner to arrange a meet AND imust say to my suprise the car was/is Stunning, condition is superb, few little nics but it is 11yrs old now.

The Spec is in my scooby and all carried out and mapped by Richard @ Tractive who has done a superb job. It produces 329 bhp and 331 ft/lb with duel fuel maps in car and is an absolute HOOT to drive.

Anyway, i,m WAFFLING to much so here,s a few pics, hope you like, i do anyway..

A good spec by the look of it, and your going to stop quickly

Is they a FMIC on there just trying to understand why the side mounted plate ?

A spot on decision especially in current times.

Not once have I regretted my jump from a newage to a classic

Enjoy

I think we have all been there Pete losing money on cars
You were lucky to come out of your last one with no losses so well done for that

A spec C is always going to be a hard act to follow but I think you might have cracked it with the Type R

Kev,

Dare i say it, but the feel/buzz this car gives me already is amazing, yes the Spec C`s are a fantastic machine and deserve there praise etc, but a 330bhp classic weighing only a bag of sugar is just SO raw and it feels BLOODY dam quick to boot.. handling aswell on the EXE-TC Suspension is fantastic..

I forgot to say Richard Bulmer mapped my old JDM WRX after a few mods were done and he did a fantastic job so you should have no issues there

Have the arches been rolled for the ultralites? would be interested in the width and offset especially as they fit over AP's

I must admit I am hoping to go the other way and get myself a Spec C ! I have to say though, having never had a classic in the range of 4 scoob's that I have had, that is one nice looking motor. Great spec as well. As you say it makes perfect sense to put some moey in the bank in these times, and still have a spanking car to drive around in.
