respray finishing???

Default respray finishing???

hey was wanting your comments on the best way to getting a superb finish to a fresh spary job??

paint has a few runs and orange peel...........

do i wet and dry the paint then rubbing compound???

any special grades etc??

Hi mate, you need to block the runs out useing 1000 grade paper if there quite bad. Then using a 1500 disc on a sander, sand all the orange peal out. What colour is it mate? if its silver, just mop up using G3 compound and then go over with G10.

Where are you based mate? if its anywhere near me (northants) i could give you a hand.

i'm based north east of scotland but thanks for the offer

it has been sprayed white, do i need to wet sand it till the paint is all level (orange peel gone altegether?)

then get rubbing compound onto it?

If your flatting buy hand, use a block with 1500 wet and dry, use this wet. Than your compound with a polishing machine.

Get it sprayed properly... No runs/orange peel...

diy with proper guns, paint etc..........

dont look that bad a just need to know how to machine polish it really.

what grade of compounds do i need surely someone knows

Use 1500's wet with a bit of soap.

The compound with Farecla G3 and a rotary machine polisher.
