Why? maybe he had the exhaust swapped to do the deal. I did that on my current scoob from a dealer. Or it's 2nd hand n previous owner changed it.

I may have mis- understood, I thought that the new owner had bought it brand new, and i thought the new shape had been out fo about 10 months or more?

Oh right, no you can still get the previous model on an 07/08 plate. Like someone else said this must be one of the very last hawkeyes to be built though.

Isnt the plate governed by when it was registered, rather than when it was made?

That is a real nice hawkeye.
Not much to do to it as it's stunning already, but I would defo get some springs on there though as it does look a tad high.
Otherwise, enjoy your new ride

Thanks guys for all your comments!
I am the second owner and the cars done just under 4,000 miles, but I believe it has been sitting in a garage a fair while.
I'm not sure when the car was manufactured but I know it was registered march 08, I was told that there was only this one and a spec d that were on an 08 plate (I’m pretty sure that it was just a selling tactic, which I’m quite happy to believe ) but yea it must be one of the last of the hawkeyes about.
The first owner put the exhaust on and unfortunately I don’t know what make it is, it is a jap style angled one though.
The black wheels looked really attractive to me, but had not thought about black wheel nuts though (good call).
I know it does sit well high! It didn’t look that bad in person but just looks silly in the pic’s.
I was originally thinking of getting 18’s (black) and then lowering it, but I may stick with the ones already on the car and get it lowered.
And on that note what is best to do? Coilovers? Lowering kits? And what makes should I look out for? Also where do you guys go for parts and mods?
Also if any one can work out what this exhaust is I would be grateful!
Thanks guys!
