FMIC - Black or Silver
What does everybody think?
Cars in for a bit of tidy up and whilst the front bumper's off, should I get the FMIC core sprayed black or keep it as it is :-
I'm sure the black would look good to start with, but as it would be sprayed after a few stone chips it would look crap!!, or would it?
Thanks peeps

I had mine done in black, including a light spray over the core and the pipework. Pipework is obviously still spotless but the core has picked up its fair share of stone chips. The only way to avoid this is to fit mesh between the bumper and core. Even then you will get some road rash on it nad you will also end up having to touch up and repaint the mess over time.
As mentioned black looks good, but be prepared to do touch ups every now and then

I thought that, but after a salty winter they go really bad and there's no real way of keeping them as new clean.

ah that's a shame. How much effort/cost is it to paint silver?

Could always get the garage to make some piant up in an aerosal, if they can do this for touching up purposes.

Worth painting it in some colour at least. Having just taken off my FMIC after a year or so, the winter wasn't kind to it. A light coat of paint beforehand would have made it a lot easier to keep clean. I like the gunmetal look.

Definetly silver. Sorry, but at a quick glance, post #3 looks like a normal vent in the bumper.
