Stuck with the original 17" BBS 10 spoke on my V-Limited.

From gold.

To high gloss black.

They look cool!, often wondered myself about a wheel colour change, (also have a WR Blue).

Did you paint yourself or a company do it?

Company local to me in Darlington called Wheelsmart. One bloke working for himself out of a backstreet unit.
I had minimal damage, just minor scrapes. Yeah tryes were taken off. Included new valves and rebalanced.

Stick with the black bud. Makes the car look pretty mean.

lovin that colour, i jus picked up some genuine pff7 alloys dirt cheap, they all need refurbishing as kerbing round the edges, the middles are fine, one is kerbed but i can replace that...if i find a shop selling them singally! u reckon the bloke could smooth and repaint the rims on my 3 alloys?? i can always post them to him and pay for repostage when done...

I like the gold but the only thing is it makes it look like every other STI. Mine is a limited edition V-Limited and I only know of another 2 in the country.

Sprayed of powder coated? Apparently powder coating is more durable but can weaken the rim - is this true as I am thinking about getting mine done and want to know the best route.

By the way Phil555 I prefer the new ones although gold photographs better

Like I say though bud. Blue Scoob + gold wheels = every other scoob.
Don't get me wrong I love the gold + blue look but just fancied a change. The response off people and the looks I get have been great .
