The Mellow Yellow
Spent what seems like all day cleaning the car (including underneath!), finally got a chance to take some photo's but the damn sun was going down... Some pose shots outside my secondary school:
Forgot to mention, cleaning process consisted off:
Jet Wash top and bottom
2 Bucket Wash with good old Fairy Liquid (because it's gentle on my hands.. erm no for degreasing etc)
Several sprays of Muck Off wheel cleaner
Rinse down (just a hose pipe)
Dried off
2 Bucket Wash with Auto Glym shampoo
Rinse off again
Dried off
Auto Glym Resin T-Cut
Auto Glym Wax & Auto Glym sealer
Machine Buffed to a shine
Used some plastic polish for the plasticky bits including the door trim, wing mirrors, came out a treat
Not bad for a peasant budget wash, saving the big guns for when the car is back out of the body shop, then either getting the car detailed inside out or going to give it a go myself. Also contemplating removing the side skirts, what do you folks reckon, off or on?

Nice car mate like the colour of the car and wheels. I really wouldn't advise using fairy liquid tho! Really bad for the paint! Suggest using autoglym tar and adhesive remover and then sum quality car shampoo to get your car really clean!

Cheers, I'll make a note of fairly liquid then, had a lot of oil and other crap on the car that needed getting rid of fast.
Aye underside looks like hardwork, I need a two or four poster in my driveway for that I only jet washed all the muck off as I have no underseal so have to keep it clean as often as I can.
Used a bottle of some TMC branded oil remover on things like the underside, trailing arms etc and then lubed up the various bits with Castrol grease.
It's funny how theraputic the whole process is but what made laugh was overhearing someone walk past saying "god that's obsessive!" - lol obviously walked past earlier and saw me washing the car the first time
It's an odd body colour, you have to see it in the flesh, almost a pale yellow/white colour but gets darker as the light hits the bodywork, kind of hard to capture properly on a camera

Should've said 'yeah, it's what builds the muscles', lol.
Fairy isn't all that bad, just strips the products applied to the car. Obviously don't use it regularly, but for stripping products it's okay. Stick with a decent car shampoo, though.

That is one sweet looking ride mate, I've only ever seen a couple in that colour, different but I like a lot!
I think I would keep the side skirts though sorry, even though it is less 'pure' RA, they finish off yours nicely with it being a rare'un And it is still an RA

wonderful special edition!
but how's it called?
I know it's not a usual STI RA, cause the color isn't yellow, it's called champagner and in 99 or 2000 there was a special edition available...
I scrolled up, covered the newage-STI and Impreza Badge on the back and suggest you to remove them
You save 5 gramms of weight and it will look better (I think so, don't you?) or let's say: PERFECT
cheers
Nico

They did the following in this colour:
Type R, STi Type RA Lightweight Edition, STi 6, STi 6 Wagon, Sport Special.
Aye removing the badges at the weekend, going to keep the ring sticker and the STi writing for a clean look.
