Lightbulb Headlight Idea

Hey guys! I passed an Audi R8 the other day.....and wow the headlights are absolutely stunning! Well, the entire car is stunning, but the headlights are just soooo cool, it's a wicked effect with the row of LED's on each side y'know? They look like this.....

I thought it would be so cool if I could somehow modify my lights to give the same sorta effect. It's almost impossible to photoshop it and make it look decent, but I think you'll get the idea.....

That one was with the LED's running along the bottom of the lights like on the R8, but I think on the impreza lights they'd possibly look better running along the top like this?.......

I dunno really, what do you guys think? It was a good idea in my head, but it kinda looks crap on the photoshops Probably just cuz of crap photoshopping lol. Do you reckon this idea is possible? I doubt it is actually, is it? Cuz where the hell would you actually put the LED's like? How would you mount them & power them etc? Too much of a pain in the **** innit! Doh

I actually quite like the lights in the second picture.
They would probably look better in a hawkeyed scooby though.

Anyone want to photoshop it for me??

Oooh yeah I didn't think of that, they probably would look cool on a hawkeye! I'm not gonna photoshop it now, cuz I'm off to bed. But I'll have a go tomorrow night if somebody hasn't already beaten me to it!

That's the problem with the lights on the classic, there's no interesting shape for the LED's to follow like, it's just 2 straight lines whichever way you do it. Ahh well. It was a good idea......for about 10 seconds. lol

The guys in the TT forum already have done something similar TT Forum

Oviously its not that hard to fit them or wire them up. I thought about going down this route in my Retrofit Project but opted against it.

Strips available on ebay.

The dawn of the new chav accessory has already begun!
Avoid them like the plague, your lights will look cack when the Chavaliers have them too!
I liked the LEDs for about 5mins..

After all your feedback, and just generally not being as unbelievably bored as I was the other night, I have decided they are a **** idea anyway!

I agree with the angel eyes on a nova comment lol. Unless it's done really proper professionally like. But even then. I dunno. Ah well!
