Smile Thought I should post pics of my V4 STi Type R.

Well I've been on here for a couple of months now and owned my scoob for about the same amount of time, but I've been so busy lately that I haven't had the time to take any photos, but I brought the car into work today which I don't normally do and managed to get a few snaps of it before it got too dark, but ignore the quality of them as they were taken on my sh*tty camera phone, the car is also a bit dirty, so ignore that too!

I thought I'd post pics of it as it stands at the mo, and with time I'll update any changes to it with photos, as I have a few plans in mind, just subtle but effective changes.

So here it is!-

Pretty much as I bought it from Jap Performance UK, standard apart from an unknown branded back box which was on it when it was imported (soon to be taken off for a full 3" system) it was lowered on springs by JP UK, and they also fitted the brand new 18" Inovite Tarmac WRC alloys and tyres. Its got a JUN front splitter too. All I have done to it is a major cambelt service at APi yesterday and changed the headunits from the non working standard double din headunit.

A standard but very clean engine bay (minus the typical flakey inlet manifold)

Here's something different, I've never seen this digital climate in any other Impreza, so am I lucky?? I certainly like it a lot more that the dated heater *****! I take it that was a factory optional extra?

Hope you likey! and anyone that spots me on the road give me a flash or toot! I do!

Cheers for looking,
Az.

Shes beautiful

I have not seen that heater control unit of a Impreza before. It must of been a top of the range option?

Thanks for all the comments guys!

I gotta say I'm dead chuffed with the car and glad I made the decision to sell up my old car which I had spent a lot of time and money on getting it the way I wanted it.

As some of you have said, I haven't actually ever seen another Impreza with the digital climate before, after putting a deposit down on the car I went to the jap show finale and checked out every other scoob there and not one had the same, and also never seen another one on the net when I was searching for a scooby or on here. Anyone else step forward if you have the same!

JP4- Yeah, I had the temp on max yesterday so it was nice and toasty! It was -4 when I left for work at 5.30am! Another good thing is the blowers are really powerful and heat up well quick in the scoob, something that used to irritate the hell out of me in all my old Honda's, their blowers are weak **** units.

Edward- Grey?!..... white is the true jdm colour!

ianch- Just checked out your type r in your profile and damn, that looks clean!! I love black cars, but having owned 3 black cars in the past they are just a bitch to keep clean aren't they.

manx mcrae-.....erm, yeah, just checked out your pics in your profile too!

Cheers again for the comments everyone.

beastgtir- I much prefer it without the side and bootlid decals, I was actually the person that took them off, it was imported like it, I think it makes it look a lot cleaner and more subtle.

about the comments on the digital climate! I thought someone else on here would of at least had the same set up?! but maybe I've just been really lucky and got a special one. So maybe it was a top spec model, as in loaded up with optional extras? I've got ABS as well, wasn't that an optional extra?

DanTerzo- Cheers buddy, I've just copied and pasted below the thread from the type r forum for those that are interested.

I've got some pics of previous cars here:-

JDM Vortech supercharged CRX Delsol, 168 bhp standard, around 130 bhp @ the wheels, 248 bhp and 203 bhp @ the wheels after supercharger conversion @ 8.5 psi. Was magazine featured in issue 3 of JTuner. 8)

Civic jordan, number 71 of 500, 158 bhp standard, NA modded, basically everything Spoon, cams, adjustable cam gears, baffled sump, high comp head gasket, Skunk2 inlet manifold, Spoon manifold, exhaust, Hondata ecu etc etc...... dyno'd @ 197 bhp.

JDM Nissan Pulsar, Fully re-built forged, and balanced engine, hybrid turbo, front mount etc, dyno'd at 321 bhp @ 1.1 bar, but set up with Blitz boost controller by Norris Designs for 1.35 bar high boost. Never got it dyno'd on high boost but would imagine it to be around 350 bhp.

JDM Toyota Supra NA 3ltr straight 6, - Nice and smooth, sounds nice, but dead boring to drive!

UK Integra type R, stayed standard apart from Tein super street coilovers, brilliant drivers car. -

JDM Civic EG SiR2, chopped in the teg for this and some cash my way to tie me over whilst moving into my new flat, it had a few mods, Spoon exhaust, induction kit, Tein super street coilovers, Rota GT3's.

And lastly, the car I sold to get my Scooby, a JDM EK4 SiR, mostly handling mods and the usual full exhaust, induction kit, Cusco coilovers, Regamaster EVO magnesium alloys etc...

Sorry if your really not interested in those but hope you like them if you are!

Az.

Lovely range of Honda's mate, I recall seen the pulsar on the gtir forum.
Love the CRX del sol, Shame it wasnt the classic mark 2 shape. 90-92.

Am a Honda nut myself, recognise your name from civicsportsclub!

Have had quite a few civics/crx (around 10 yikes) including a very rare manual Da6 XSi integra.
Am on the lookout for a JDM DC2/EG6 for a daily runner.

i think i actually want to have sex with your Scoob mate, it is fookin gorgeous!!

As for the Hondas, all lovely, and bloody clean. The interior on that Pulsar as well, proper nice (but i bet it was annoying in cold/hot weather)

A very nice car history, and your standards havent dropped with the scoob either.

One day, i will have a Type-R, i just love the 2 door scoobs.

Some beautiful cars there. I really like the scoob. Perfect in every way except one for me... and that's the spoiler. I know I've said it before on here but I don't think those spoilers do the classic any justice. The mid level one is better for the lines and proportion of the car. Just my opinion anyway... other than that, as I say it's a beauty, enjoy it!

beef-on-the-bone- There is life after Honda's mate! I still highly highly rate Honda's and I have no doubt what so ever that I'll get another one at some stage, more than likely a dc5, or if I can stretch to it then the new fd2 jdm civic.

beastgtir- funnily enough mate I recognised your user name too, but didn't think of it being from CSC.

Nice to see another Honda man on here, and I like the look of your EF and EE there! My first car was an EF! 1.4 16v, done some work to that and that turn't quite a lot of heads at the time. I do still really like the mk2 crx's, came very close to buying a JDM SiR one once and was gonna go mad on it, full respray, Bride seats, carbon this and that, deck it on coilovers, some uber rare jdm rims of some sort and something like a b20 vtec conversion. But decided it was just too much work involved for a car which I probably would of used daily.

Dannybwoy- Thanks for that comment about my scoob, but thats a little worrying all the same!

Yeah the pulsar interior was lush, it wasn't too bad in the summer, but yeah it was bloody cold in the winter! The seats were the best supporting seats I've ever sat in, really felt like a racers seat, proper bucket style but with the comfort of thick cushions and reclinable. Pretty expensive tho, at £850 for just the front seats without rails! It was £1300 for the whole interior, including the rear seats and panels to be trimmed up to match. Thanks for the comments on standards, I do try!

Mikkle- Thanks mate, I know the rear spoilers aren't everyone's cup of tea, but I love it, luckily for me it was already fitted with it from japan. I understand what your saying about the proportion thing, which is why I'll be adding a couple of subtle changes to the exterior of the car to help compliment the rear spoiler a bit more.
