Cheer ryn004!

Nickyv4- Bloody el mate! You don't mess about do ya! You've basically done exactly the same as what I want to do to mine (minus the DV) so what does she go like? and has there been a big difference to when you first bought it?

I have got my V5, it took about 4 weeks from the purchase, I rang them up to find out where it was and it turn't up the day after I rang them, it was sent 2nd class so he had already sent it to me before I rang them. I'd phone them first, if you don't get an answer off them then contact the dvla.

Goes well now mate, pulls harder and theres more top end now the limiter is off. U also never need to change down when drivin steady cos it just pulls really nice from a low speed in 5th. But most of all it sounds mint

I also cant believe how clean it is alround ive had it on the lift and wax oiled the whole underneth and done inside the panals with a wax oil aerosol the inside and out its immaculate and less than 60k miles on the clock.

Il try n get some pics up soon in the gallary section wen i get home from work been here 2weeks and not home till christmas eve

Its definately something I'm gonna do very soon. I've got a full 3" de-cat system from turbo back to go on it, but am touch and go whether to fit it now and run it for a while until I can afford the Apexi PFC, or wait to fit it till I've got the money for the ecu and get it mapped straight away. I'd much prefer to do the latter, but my current exhaust is blowing slightly and missing a couple of brackets.

I was also planning to underseal the car as JPUK said it hadn't been done when I asked them, but after having a full on service at APi they advised me that it was already undersealed, and actually showed me whilst the car was on the ramp. so that saved me a messy job! My car is the same as for being dead clean underneith etc, my black civic was like it had just rolled out of the factory when I bought that. My car is on 81k kilometers, so 50k miles. Did you get yours recalibrated to miles? I prefer to keep my cars in kilometers to keep the milage genuine and unmessed with.

If the car is 10 years old or more it doesn't need to go through an sva.

It seems some people are more lucky than others when it comes to fitting a system without getting it mapped straight after fitting it. I've had quite a few people with classics sti's say they've had a full system and running the standard ecu for anything from 6 months to 18-24 months with no problems at all, others say the same as you nicky. I think I'll wait to get it ecu'd and mapped, I'd much rather know its running spot on.

I did actually see your car up at JPUK when I went up there to buy mine, its very nice mate!

Aaaaah just worked out who you are.

You used to work at Ocardos with Kev Smith and were once signed up to Cruise-Herts.Net

Anyway, lovely Type R! Love them in white...

Graham- Cheers mate, likewise, love black cars but don't think I could own one again, they're such hard work to keep looking good,.... mind you, I said that a couple of years ago and ended up with 2 other black cars after that.

MovingShadow- Yeah thats me mate, I still work at ocado though, HGV 1 side which isn't too bad I suppose. How is Kev these days? haven't seen or spoke to him in ages!
