totally agree - i bought the sti covers as 1 of the foglights had a big chip and they cost the same (roughly) as a replacement.
I think it looks better with them on but maybe a bit too rounded without the winglets?

time to get saving - £85 each i think aren't they?

well i found out at the weekend after i washed the car i have a leak at both sides in the boot - the mat was soaked

I've blobbed sealant all over the bolts from the inside and if the doesn't cure it i was thinking of putting a very thin clear sealant all around the spoiler where it sits on the lid.
I did see a drip comming off 1 of the 4 bolt threads that was in the spoiler but not sure exactly how it's getting in

Just had a though jay - i wonder if the water's getting in where the 2 section meet as there's a gap either side on mine
Have you tried to see if the 2 halves seperate? might try at the weekend and put some sealant there as well

Just fettled with the spoiler Jay
I removed the 4 black covers from under the top half of the spoiler and noticed the inside of the spoiler was wet, the bolt heads were also wet

I removed the 4 bolts to seperate the 2 spoiler halves and noticed there wasn't any seals, etc on the holes which the bolts pass through?

I've now put lots of clear sealant around the holes and tightened the bolts back up

The boot mat is now dry and refitted so if it gets wet again i'll know it must be the other bolt holes in the boot lid

I'm assuming the water got in through the poor join between the 2 halves of the spoiler, down through the holes which weren't sealed and into the base of the spoiler (well it was wet inside when i prodded with my finger). the water may then have run down the bolt threads and into the boot?

I had my WRX spoiler supplied and fitted by Brian Wilson and the guy put a ring of silicon selant around the studs before fitting the spoiler. That way when water gets under the spoiler, which it always will even on factory fitted, it cant get through the holes into the boot. Mine never leaked.

Mev - i had 1 of their spoilers on my bugeye - a lot better quality and fit, wish i'd got the spoiler from him for this car

i used clear sealant around all the holes before i fitted the spoiler to the lid so it shouldn't be comming from those holes?

Jay - i still had a slight drip from the n/s hole (at top when boot lid's open) - i took out the nut/washer and put a lot of sealant into the hole before refitting.

i washed the car the next day and it's been parked outside in the rain 2 days at work and the mat's still dry so it looks as though the sealant worked
