Im new and have just brought
Hi all,
brought this yesterday and wait to pick her up, im new to the jap scene so anybody know of any good tuners in essex area so that i can get it checked over, hope you like, any info would be great help with regarding if there is anything i should do because of it being fresh import

cheers everyone, i cant wait to get her home now, i paid £7k for her, which i dont know if its alot however its the one i wanted and i think its a far price, she has 90000km on the clock, its all standard apart fom the wheels and suspenison which is tien i think or something like that, sorry for abit clueless but have ford rs's before and never have had a jap import before

. Im only five minutes down the road from ya. There are loads of subaru specialists in essex, its knowing which ones you should use and which ones not too!!! here is the link for the Essex Scoobie Crew forums:

Take it it's a Type R - Version 5? If so, it should be pretty quick as it is even in standard form....I had a Type R V4 previously to my WR1.

I hope my one turns out like that when it has a clean up. Mine is currently on a ship from Japan. I took the plunge by buying direct from an auction through a 3rd party. A bit chancy but it should be worth it.
Heres a pic. looking forward to getting it on the road.
I posted the same type of question and it came back with Xtreme Scoobies and MOCOM plus one other garage which I cannot remember the name.
I am not sure how you can search for your posts on here. did give it a go but no luck.

Nice looking motor, first thing you need is to get it mapped for our fuel and add some octane booster until then. If its a v3 or v4 you will need a remapable ecu.

Nice car mate! from Jap Performance UK. I bought my white Type R from them a few weeks back, your car was there then too, they are a good bunch up there and all there cars are of very high quality.
