the paint is black with an effect in it from b & q
i nitromorsed the laquer off (there is a fair bit on subaru wheels) then wet n dry sanded them down to more or less the bare alloy then grey primered them, wet n dryed any slight blemishes then give them about 3 light coats of paint just to make sure everything was covered.
on the wheel in the pic i had to wet n dry the paint on the second coat as i put to much on one of the spokes they still need laquering tho

I had a set of Speedline RB5 alloys powder coated a year or so ago, black + flake clear coat - looks like Anthracite, then really great in bright sunlight.
Then last month i had a set of OZ P1 wheels, also powder coated in gloss black. Black is the new Gold!

Done these from silver to black with polished rim got some STI wheel centre stickers to go on yet
