In the flesh I think it could grow on me, right up until you see the Evo next to it. This is just turning the impreza into another hot hatch along with focuses, astras and golfs of the world.

MMM its growing on me - could be quite subtle if it lost the gold wheels and in a dark colour ! Will have to see one in the flesh before decide and bet I will get a better deal on a run out STI spec D and spend the saving on modifing it !!

i think that you will find that that is not ACTUALLY a real one...
Unlike Mitsubishi and its Evo X, Subaru isn't quite ready to show off the styling of its highest-performing vehicle. The official debut of the car is still a few months away — probably at the Tokyo Motor Show this October — but we were able to get our hands on some vital information that provides a clear picture of what the next WRX STI will be like, including its basic appearance.

Wouldn't consider buying either... but quite like the look. It's just a shame they both brand the names of Evolution & Impreza.
Create new models for both vehicles and although people would compare and say this is the new Evo/ Impreza, technically they would be new cars!
Both will end being very quick and capable and looks aside this will still sell them!
Impreza and Evolution are hardly the best looking cars around many would say... but we buy them for other reasons than cabin quality and asthetics!
Still be nice to see them on the roads however in their new costumes.....

Looks like a Focus. I'm sick and tired of having to "learn to love" the new Imprezas. I want to be able to fall in love with the car at first sight.... like I did the GC's and GF's, the new Legacy, and even the Evo X.
This one absolutely has no personality, other than Hyundai, Ford, Mazda, and just about every other econobox out there.

The saloon isn't as offensive to my eyes as the hatch.
If the new STi is the same price as the Evo X then there'd be no choice, Evo X everytime.
