Inspired by Scoobynet

Greetings from North Idaho. I just finished this. it has been greatly inspired by the Scoobynet.
It is a 2.5rs my98 with 8 to 1 pistons in a closed deck block with an eaton m62 pumping twelve lbs intercooled with 720cc injectors, 3" exhaust, a chalak dog box, Prodrive WR inverted struts etc. If you're ever in the neighborhood, a ride and a pint is in order!

I guess I should have posted "bridged deck". As far as power output I am still shaving the input pulley. I am hoping to get 350. the engine management is very entertaining. www.sdsefi.com There is a rolling road about 300 miles away, but it is snowplow season and I am married to five acres of white he** until spring =)

I am not familiar with the architecture of your car.
It seems odd that you have such a raised pulley that you have scooped out the bonnet.
Where is your inlet manifold? and why dont you have the standard air con alternator and power steering pump belts in place?
you aloso refer to a bridged deck.
runnning 8:1 compression with injectors your size all you need is a whopping turbo and I dont see why you wouldn't get power well in excess of 400 with similar torque. Hyperex (also on this site) has had a conversion done in japan using the same building blocks as you and he has 490 bhp and about 430lbft of torque running at 1.5 bar!

Bridged deck.
The power steering pump etc. are there, just hiding behind the intercooler plumbing. The kipper has a date with the beautician. It sat out all winter and lost it's sheen and fresh aroma!!

Hey,
I live in Topeka KS. What shop did that for you? And, have you noticed much of a difference with the different intake, I was thinking about getting one myself, but thought it would a waste of time. Also, how much did the supercharger cost you to install and change out parts so your engine could survive? I utterly love the idea of the supercharger man

It WAS a rimmer kit about 60,000 miles ago. The only bit that's rimmer now is the aluminium plenum holding the throttle body.
The rest was built by Jason Cobb, G P motorsports. 208-762-0888. Very sharp young man. I wanted to do a type r or type ra etc. transplant but they suggested a street strip prepped engine with a compression ratio that would compliment the blower. They suggested the bridged deck as well. the only mistake I made was figuring the price of the dog box into the bottom line. The transplant would have come with a wrx trans. So over budget by 3k or so. And rsquire, I am looking forward to coming over to the west side! March probably. Cheers! Dan.
