Default First mods....

Had the car nearly two weeks now and used this weekend to sort out the few things that I wasn't happy with. Nothing too crazy as the thing is pretty much exactly as I want it

Diamondbrite treatment for that added sparkle

Stebel nautilus airhorn rather than puny factory spec

Alpine i-pod compatible head unit

I-pod is great as I didn't fancy a changer in here (gotta think of the weight)

Just for *****-lewis here's my knocklink install

Finally, a little stickerage

Yes, if you can get it free from a mates dad
Really easy two stage process, just make sure it's damn clean before you start. Gives great protection, always comes up great after a wash and seems to last forever.
I like to give mine a coat of zymol on top to get it super shiny

Thanks to the rest of you guys

you'll get a cracking finish with Jeffs acrylic jett trigger (bloody mouthfull!) JEFFS Werkstatt Acrylic Jett Trigger

really gives a great gloss look on the white my camera is a bit toss, but this gives you a bit of an idea how shiney/glossy it can look

not that there's anything wrong with yours mind just trying to help out a fellow white owner lovely looking car by the way!

The tanks full TX, thats why you can't see the water line. Doesn't seem to be using any on auto setting but then it's been pretty damn cold

You think I'm mad?? You've done way more to yours
All these bits are just stuff I collected during the long wait for the car.

A few more whilst I'm here

yes I'm a picture *****

That's the one! Did you remove it?

Re the water tank, mine is empty ... should I fill it? What if it's filled then not used until the Summer? The water will go manky won't it?

So many questions

The sticker was allready gone when I collected the car but I quite liked the look of the car with something there so I stuck a pig in it's place

Definately fill the tank. They put it in the boot to improve weight distribution apparently. It probably won't use any on it's own until the weather gets warmer, but you can dump some on manually to avoid heat soak issues during those traffic light launches
As for it going manky, don't worry about it. It's not like you're gonna drink it

It's for the intercooler water spray. Helps reduce intake temp by spraying water mist on the intercooler. Ours have auto mode, unlike UK cars, so just leave it on and it'll do it's own thing.

I'm yet to have any issues with the RE070's but have heard that they can be a little unforgiving in bad weather

Thanks huff

un-beatable in the dry and fine in the wet, but in the damp they just don't get enough heat in them to get the compound warm enough to grip.

very greasy and they'll let go just when you think they're holding on.

don't get me wrong they're far from dangerous, you just need to be aware of the nature of the tyre.

don't get rid of them though because you'll want to lick them when the warm, dry weather comes

if you've got the room (and funds!) get a spare set of rims and put a more winter friendly tyre on.
