GT Wing

I think that looks crap, better off with an STI, or even a standard spoiler looks better than that. I'm not being personal, just presume you posted the prototype picture for 3rd party constructive criticism.

I think it looks very japanese, if that makes any sense. I kinda like it. Now I would have one, but it might look a bit silly perched on top of my Wagon
keep up the good work Rob.

Thanks for your replies.
I realise that my parts are not to everyones taste, I want my company to stand out for being a bit different to everyone else. If you like it, fine, if not, thats your personal opinion.
Rik, when shall I expect your order??

It is probably going to be after christmas now. Im trying to sort out a few insurance issues with it.
Thanks for the interest, Rob.

Fine piece of work mate but i think it looks too narrow, too small it doesnt look like it belongs, maybe its because the usual spoilers have supports that are wider appart, i dunno?

Rob
On the whole I quite like it, I think it could do with some slight mods tho. The main one is the rear section of the supports, which is currently vertical - might look sleeker if they're at a similar angle to the front edge of the supports.
The other thing is the size of the wing in respect to the horizontal spacing of the supports, they're a little too wide apart (I think this is what the others meant when they said it had shrunk!) but I can't see a way to alter that unless people are prepared to drill new holes in their boot.
I quite like GT-style wings, so it gets a thumbs up from this quarter.
Or should we all run around with STi wings like Rik suggests...

Hi Rob,
The more i look at the wing the more i like it.
The idea of a Jap stylee GT wing is a good one.
Good ideas from whip
Don't laugh but i tried to do this on paint for a couple of mins
and came up with this.
I know its a dodgy drawing but you get the idea! Im sure u could
extend the bottom bits that you screw on to the edges (ie original holes). I also think the idea of a bigger top to the wing is a good
one.
Good luck, keep at it,
Kos

Hi,
Like the spoiler, its different.....but wouldn't put it on my everyday car. Maybe as a special.
Also like the painted side and rear skirts....thinking of getting mine done...

Hi Rob,
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" as the saying goes. Not to my taste but I'm sure there will be people out there who will want it. It's certainly different.
Reminds me of the Kandinski I've got at home
Cheers

Cheers for all the feedback, I will take it into concideration.
I am restrained a little by the location of the original holes, and I dont think too many people would want to get them filled in and the whole boot resprayed!
Anyway, couple of weeks and the final version will be available.
Thanks Rob.

It is not quite my cup of Tea. However the more I look at it I think the problem is the amount of wing either side of the uprights. Would it not look more balanced if the wing went out as wide as the rear of the car or maybe an inch less than the width of the car rather than just the width of the boot.
All the Best
Pete

the wing bit has to be a little wider, i think it needs to extend over the boot lid kind of thing.
if you have to use the original boot lid holes why do't you make a bottm section for the spoiler? like a little flat bottom section using the holes and then you can manage to the get the vertical bits closer to each other as suggested? i hope this makes sense?
