Sal & family and I are just back from Wales after following the Rally for the last few days. Here are some pictures to have a look at. Quality on some is not as good as I would have liked - blame dodgy weather / light levels / cameraman (delete as applicable )
There are quite a few pictures, so be warned if you are on a slow link.
First stage we saw at Crychan
Gronholm at Crychan
John (Sal's Dad) posing with Markku Martin's car
Mitsubishi gravel car
Petter Solberg's car in service area
A very battered Skoda....
Ford planning something a little different for the 2002 WRC
Shock!! Burns eating a banana (only decent shot I got)
Burns coming into service
Hyundai chaps looking for some tips
Burns coming out of service
Gronholm on his way out
Toshi arriving at service
Some idea of the conditions at Rheola
Sal wondering why we've been sitting out here for six hours (true)
Toshi at Rheola
Some of the souvenirs collected...
Overall we had a great time - shame Colin and Tommi crashed out so early as we didn't get to see them and they are two of the best to watch. Great result for Richard though!!
Cheers

Rheola was worse than that! By the time I got back to the car, my coat was soaked, my jumper top and two t-shirts were all wet.
Has proved the SWRT heavy jacket I've borrowed isn't properly waterproof. £150 for a none waterproof jacket? Glad I haven't brought it!

Chris, when we got back from Rheola there were puddles of water in the boot of the car from all our clothes that we'd chucked in there
There were times on Sunday when we did question our sanity having got up at 4am, driven across the mountains in the slashing rain and then fog, arrived at the car park only to be told it was closed driven to an alternative one much further down the stage from our chosen speccy spot, trudged uphill in the dark & slashing rain for about 2 miles to 'our' spot then sat there for an hour in the slashing rain & wind waiting for the first car! Oh how we laughed Then we spent a futher 6 hours doing more of the same - all for fun
I got less wet in the shower this morning
Can't wait till next year now but will probably cross the SWRT jacket off my Christmas pressie list - 7 hours in the rain and it leaked? What rubbish
Sal

I may be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure the guy who made the limo Fiesta lives on my road. He runs a Fiesta specialists in Wickford and has also turned one into a monster truck!!!
Great pics though

Chris,
Great pics. What camera were you using?
Good to meet you and Sal and a number of other Scoobynetters.Had a great weekend, apart from getting drowned on Sunday (twice), but that's what you come to expect!
Hoping to get my pics sorted soon, but I then have to master how to scan them and upload them.I've never tried it before.
Cheers
