Default New Seats and other bits for the Forester

Managed to get some Seats from a Forester Sti - much nicer than the leather armchairs that were in there before. I prefer them in black as well like the Spec C ones..

Alson now have a SECS monitor with additional sensors Oil temp / pressure.

The Head Unit is a Kenwood DDX-6029 double din DVD, satnav, TMC, Ipod etc and I've had a Kenwood roof screen put in with a PS2 install to keep the kids quiet !

Loads more mods coming up including some engine bits a map tweak and stuff so watch this space

Love that headunit, only thing that puts me off buying one is that there's no security on it (other than being screwed to the dash).

HU can be picked up for around £450 - £500 which is pretty reasonable, throw on the Sat nav, TMC, Ipod contro and Bluetooth and it becomes v.expensive. Bare Pod is around £100 and the Secs monitor was about £250 I think..

Thanks for the info Bartop - you mention Alson in your original thread, no matter, I've been onto the PS13 website and will keep you informed.

Pete,

Think back to when you first bought this car (or was it just before) when you asked about exhaust systems, mapping and general tuning......

What did I say?

"Get an Forester STI instead, it will be cheaper in the long run!" or something along those lines!!!

It does look smart though!

Hi Andy - yep, you're right mate - the car is slowly morphing into an Sti

I doubt though I've spent 10 grand on it which was the difference at the time, plus I've had all the fun of modding it along the way

That's fair comment, and it is from someone who spent £16k modifying a UK Impreza!!
