no way!
That is the new skyline?
I mean, it looks very nice - but how can that replace the R34 monster that was the skyline? It doesn't look nearly as aggressive as the outgoing model .... are Nissan trying for a different market?

I think the new GTR is based on the Skyline/G35 Coupe, though I could be wrong. If I'm right then what will be the new Skyline GTR will not be badged as a Skyline per-se, but just as a GTR, or I recall something like that being mentioned a while back.
Have to say I really do like the G35 Coupe, pity thy don't do an AWD version as they do in the G35 Sedan, which is also a rather nice car.

I think they are badged as Infiniti in North America and Skyline in Japan. I could be wrong but I don't think there is a UK model of the car and it's only available as a jap import.

In Japan, they are named as the 'Skyline V35' which is a 4-door... also with the optional Skyline V35 350GT which is the coupe model like above.
In America, Infiniti released them there... and rebadged them, but are basically the same.
The new R35 will be called GTR... and won't have the Skyline name referred to it anymore, like Marcus said. The Skyline will now be known as a normal family executive with a sports model option like the above... and the GTR will be known as what was the Skyline. I suppose that rules out any option of a GTS version then.
