Question

Erm, is it me or are those wheels diferent to the UK ones?

Are those 17" or smaller?

Also it looks to me like a sliding caliper front brake instead of a 4-pot caliper.

Confused!

We get 16" wheels in the USA, and 2 pot front brakes.

Many people use the 16" wheels with snow tires for winter use and purchase aftermarket 17" or 18" wheels for fair weather use.

I plan to purchase 17" OZ Supperleggras next spring and hopefully upgrade those brakes! I'm getting a unichip and 3" turboback exhaust next month.

Thanks for the reply. Very interesting...

I was "over your way" last week - Roslindale near Boston. Closer than usual!!! I dunno, travel thousands of miles from my home in Worcester to stay 5 mins from... Worcester!!!

Bizarre.

Nice car.

YOUR SUBY LOOKS VERY SIMILAR TO THE AUS RS 2.5LTR VERSION THAT HAS JUST BEEN RELEASED,AT THE SYDNEY MOTOR SHOW BUT WITH A WRX BONNET DO YOU GUYS GET HEAVY DUTY SUSPENSION ?

AUSSIE VERSION WRX STI GETS ONLY 195KW WHICH IS A BIT UNSATISFACTORY

Steve - The dog still isn't eating his sh*t. Don't give him any ideas!

I believe the US Spec WRX is very similar to the UK and Australian version except with a few changes to keep the price down, such as 16" wheels (instead of 17"), 2 pot brakes, no side indicators, etc. I believe that the US WRX has the same suspension as everyone else, but I could be wrong about that!

Phil - Sorry, I forgot to resize the picture! I will fix that! And yes, we get crappy brakes!

Michelle,

The one I sent you was supposed to have me lying on the bonnet looking sexy. Ooops! Did I say that?

Sam
save your money up and 4get the 17's and go for 18's, we have 17's as standard over here as you know, so to look better than your m8's put your money to bigger wheels (18's).
OUR cars look even better with 18's.......oh, and save up for 4pot or 6pots as well!!!!!!
