Default Subaru Owner starting young :D

Hey, On friday i bought my first impreza its a Turbo 2000 in Peppermint Green, but the twist is i am only 17 and not even passed my test! The reason i bought this is so i can use it as a Hobby/Project to build up for when i can insure it. And as an Ex-Subaru apprentice i can hopefully Learn more until i can get back on my training

Here's some Pic's....Its not the best Paint job but hey i got it at a very silly Price!

Ps... Its got a FULL de-cat!! and running at 250bhp

Not wishing to be rude mate, but I hope you have a big bank balance for insurance purposes.

Good luck though on the project, you'll have to put it in the Project section and keep us updated.

Surely, having such a car sitting on a driveway will get too much? and the temptation to drive it. How long are you going to wait before you decide to insure?

good luck with the project

I know there not cheap to run but hey it will be worth it in a couple of years. Even if i just restore it abit and sell it on i would be happy.

@Mad555- I havent a clue why its got sport seats, but can assure you its a turbo

try elephant lol, reason its got sports seats is cos its a very very early uk car. I made the mistake witha guy i met at nurburg ring, didn't get into a fight about just asked what engine it had and he explain, turned out to be top fella.

as said good luck with insurance, expect to be not driving it for about 3 years minimum even on your parents insurance, having me on a type RA undermy dads name added 4k so didn't bother, thats was about two years ago when i was 21, now 23 i still pay £1500+. (or would be with out a load off cos i wrote my first one off when i was 22)

The older classics did not have Buckets, they had aweful normal cloth seats.

I got my first scooby at 17. Insurance was 4.8K

Now 25 and paying 1.4K on 911 Turbo.

In fairness i have to agree. It is a totally GAY colour. For a special edition car it was bad choice as would be to very limited peoples tastes. Shoulda went normal colour every person could live with. Black or White or something!!!

Totally misguided reply & to be honest just what Ive come to expect from half the numpties on here!!

The colour is actually a very nice metallic....not a flat pale green as the pictures show!! http://img.photobox.co.uk/23586334c2...1a3a02565e.jpg Ive only had good comments about it from people who see mine in the flesh & always bad from pics & people who dont know any better, its an amazing colour you'll need to trust me on this one! Also for the price he got this one.....id rather have 2 like this than one common blue/silver/red one!!
