De-tango, de-badge & lips spoiler
Have just spent the weekend doing some low cost mods.
The headlight de-tango took 2 hours & cost a tenner.
I could not find Silvertech bulbs in the right size, so I bought orange ones and lightly blew them over with a silver aerosol - hey presto!
The back indicators took two minutes - just sprayed existing bulbs. Enhances the bare bum look I think.
I took the fog light cover stickers off intending to replace them with black, but I like the naked look, so may stick with it.
I also fitted the Scott Lowe front lip spoiler, which I fully intended to colour code - but again I like the black look, so that will probably stay black.
I am chuffed to bits with the results, so thought I would share them with you.

Total cost of the work was under £200.
The only problem is that now I am looking and thinking "what next"
Maybe those gold wheels..........

Scoobyboy - I doubt it is me you have seen as I just fitted the lip spoiler this weekend.
I am just outside of Darlington, by Teesside airport.
I had heard a rumour that somebody here had melted their headlights. Very gallant of you to own up.
Had it ben me, I would have kept quiet about it!
I did mine in the oven, but just set to 60 Degrees C.
How much did it cost you for a new set?

There is no point keeping it quiet, its best to let people know, so they don’t make the same mistakes.
I think it cost me £170 for a new headlight as I only melted one, in the end I got someone else to do the detango-ing..

C2forWRX - Do you know anyone in our area who does powder coating of wheels?
The more I look at it, the more I agree that dark grey/anthracite would look neat.
I have looked at wicked wheels, but the nearest is Newcastle, and they seem steep at around £65 per wheel.
Let me know what you drive, and I will keep my eyes open and give you a wave.

Mine looks like that, but in black. Removed all stickers and badges other than the SUBARU lettering on the rear. Added ScotLowe splitter, de-tango (no melting) but included a WR1 grille to bring the whole front end together - sprayed it black to match the car.

Got AP 6-pots on there now, which look huge behind those wheels.

Scoobyboy1, very nice indeed. Like the rear spoiler, considered one myself but was not sure how it would look. It is more subtle than the standard one.
