Talking A couple of pics from RALLYDAY 2005

Hi All,
A few pics from Rallyday 2005.
What a day, and not only the rain.

Highlight had to be Richard Burns tunring up to do a parade lap with Robert Reid driving him, and all his cars behind him.

Absolutely fantastic pictures Its a shame, I saw the line of Burns` cars coming down the straight together, but didnt realise that Burns himself was actually there too

For me, the McRAE brothers ruled the day with their twin mk2 Escort antics Different class

I saw him mate and it was so sad He was a great guy and a very good driver and it was really sad to see him reduced to this I'm sure he doesn't want anyones sympathy but he's got mine regardless Poor guy being in possession of so much talent, passion and knowledge and unable to drive the cars that were around him

I have even more respect than I did for him (and I always had loads:-; ) for turning up to meet his fans, it must have been bloody hard for him to do I wish him all the best though. Get well please Richard.

Absolutely gutted that didn't see Richard there

That Mitsubishi WRC car was gorgeous (had to laff when Galli completely missed the first chicane, the man doesn't know how to drive any less than committed! )

What is the latest with Burnsie ???

I've not heard anything of him for ages but have always wondered how he was getting on.

He was in the passenger seat. I think they did it on purpose so people couldn't see him properly. If you saw the guy in the wheel chair near his cars that was him. Looked almost nothing like him.

I don't think it was deliberate, it just happened to be a left hand drive BMW.
Richards rally co-driver Robert Reid was driving the BMW and I guess it may have been Richards dad in the back.

I must admit to having a lump in my throat when Richard and his cars went past.
I doubt we'll ever see Richard Burns, Colin McRae and Alistair Mcrae out on track together again like that, very sad.

I wish Richard all the best.
