blue classic with black alloys anyone??
just got myself some 2nd hand alloys for my classic wagon, and as they could do with some refurb work due to paint and laquer flaking in places and the normal kerb rubbing im thinking of changing the colour from the gold now to possibly gloss black..has anyone got a pic of a blue scoob with black 17 inch alloys on so i can see how the wheels contrast with the blue of the car....saloon or wagon will do....or poss even other sugestions of wheel colour, just think there are enough impreza's with gold wheels about.....and how much per wheel am i looking at?

What type of alloys do you have?
Were are you based?
I am going to have my wheels painted in anthracite, wells actually met VW gemini gray. Which are a slighty darker shade to the original colour of the P1 alloys as shown in gljam pictures.
I had my previous alloys powercoated in anthracite but I was never really happy with the colour as they were a lighter shade than I expected.
I did have the opition of going black but decided not too.
Cost me £15 a wheel, thats for shot blast clean, powercoat, laquer to finish.

I have some sti7 alloys in gold, but they could do with a refurb as the paint and laquer is flaking off in places....fancy a change from the gold wheels and blue car combo and the car above does indeed look great with the anthrasite wheels,so im kinda leaning towards that colour..... im in birmingham and the wheels are going on a blue jdm wagon, not sure f the exact colour name though

rigga the company I used are based in Digbeth, just of the Pershore Rd.
Bourne Powder Coatings. Ive lost the contact number for them but I am sure they should be in the yellow pages somewhere.
I have used them twice & just remember how to get there without street names etc.

Ive heard of bournes before...know a few guys who have had their bike wheels done there, good finish if i recall, but im not sure if they will tidy up some minor kerbing on the wheels,i think they just clean and powder coat the rims.... were your rims in need of a little preperation before coating? its very slight to be honest, mostly its just the old coating flaking off thats the problem

My alloys did not have any kerbing etc, the only reason I had them all done was that 3 were already in anthracite and 1 in gold.
I think your right they dont actually repair/refurb the alloy.
Any little minor scratches will not really show up after pc.
