Smile STI wheels on classics

As per subject, lets see em please, preferably in anthracite or silver. Oh and also as the wheels are 7.5JX17 ET53, I assume 215/40/17 tyres are the ones to go for without any rubbing, right? Thanks guys.

sorry no pics ..........but i had anth.new age with the original 215/45 and they didnt rub!............however ...........if i did it again ( it was an 'all in' buy)..i would have got 205/40's put on.............the car was too high off the road. I kinda assumed more depth of tyre would cushion my sti (classic)suspension a bit .....-but it didnt seem to.

Yes they are. Perfect! same car/colour as mine, thanks alot. I think the STi wheels look better than the 17" wrx wheels on a classic, dont you reckon?

Absolutly.

I must add though that these wheels are a differant offset and do bang over speed bumps and the like.

He has Bridgestone Potenza 225/45/R17 tyres fitted.

What tyres should be fitted? These were fitted to the car as part of the deal when he bought it.

Those are the default sized tyres for new model STI's. I'm surprised he hasnt had to put spacers on the rears to stop them rubbin on the struts.

You should be on 205/40/17 or 215/40/17 ideally. Or 215/45/17 as these are more popular, but his speedo will be less acccurate on 215/45's. But you wont get any rubbing or knocking with any of these sets.

When he bought the car it had the horrible 16" 6 spokes and he said he would buy the car if they fitted the STi wheels in the showroom! So i really dont have a clue what they work out at!
