Cool Dark Blue Mark's Scoob history... Quite a few ;-)

I remember a mate of mine taking me out in his brand new Terzo back in 1998 and I was blown away, and swore I would own a Subaru one day soon.

Scoob no1
Started in 2001 when I was 23, with a MY96 UK. After a few mods it was quite rapid, with the older style bigger turbo. Interior was absolute ****e so in went some STi ones, also some

17" MIM's, then eventaully 18" Compomotives Colour coded it and put a wing on the back.

Scoob no2
This is where the username came from Came into a few more £ and along came scoob no2, a UK MY99 and possibly the cleanest one of the bunch. Had 2 previous SN owners Came with some prodrive bits, but I added the WR wing, and the obligatory full decat and TEK2.5 - Great car....

Scoob no3
Decided I needed to move out and buy a flat so sold up about a year later and foolishly bought a Golf GTi 1.8T to save running costs. That lasted about 2 months and I bought scoob no 3 an old MY94 WRX as a runaround. Again, great fun. Full decat and ScoobyECU.

Scoob no4
After not ending up buying a propery my first thought was a decent powered scoob. Always wanted the power of an STi and RichB was thinking of selling a black STi4 in 2003... Always wanted this one and helped buying a car I knew, as I had a distrust for STi's. Arranged a deal and got the car, on went the full decat and knocklink Great car this one and still miss it now - black looks bloody great.

Non scoob experiment again
Bought a flat in May 2004 and thought id save some pennies by cashing in and buying an ITR for £7500. This was the finest example you would have seen, only 35k miles aircon (rare) etc... Good fun car, but did my head in driving it daily. Actually wasn't that cheap to run either, fuel consumption was about the same. Drove it like a loon all the time

Scoob no5
After realising I could comfortably afford an STi, the one Ive always wanted popped up - An STi5 in white. Sam (from SN) kindly gave me a good price on it and that was that. This car is mint and only had 32k miles on it. Love it to bits.

Who knows whats next, but no5 is currently being modded at a rate of knots. Already Has 17" OZ's, HKS headers and full decat, and TEK3. Installed KL and an array of gauges, FMIC going on soon, Lateral Performance Clutch, 550 injectors, Walbro pump, APS Filter etc...

Enjoy

Cheers, all.

Its been good learning too, as there's quite a lot of technical differences through the classic era.

Davey, get you name down for the rolling road day in Southern, would be good if you can make it.

Just out of interest Mark, who will be fitting all you new bits and bobs, e.g. the clutch.

Will be doing most of it myself, mate is helping me with the FMIC. Not going to try the clutch myself though!. Triton wanted a fortune to do it, but there's a well known chap off this BBS who fits them at a very good price. PM me if you need info.

LOL Ali, just took a while to find my way

RoRu, cant remember the offset but they didn't rub. Got them from Amber Performance. They did tramline quite badly on crap surfaces, but I never had my geometry setup on that car. The finish on the Compomotives isnt the best - you could see where they'd hung them for spraying. Prodrive PD7's are similar and a much better wheel.
