Cheers!

I asked 'em if they'd put a slight slash cut on the backbox as well, which Ian @ H&S kindly did

As for ott... funnily enough, they're sending out another centre section next week....

....with a silencer in it

The bore of the pipe is 3" from the turbo right through into the backbox, the exit pipe on the backbox is 4"...

Yeah, but I need it remapping again, its over boosting now... upto 1.7bar on occassions ... its holds 1.4 to 1.5 bar very well. Ive also got an Apexi ecu and Apexi induction kit fitted plus various other bits and pieces...

Pretty certain you'll find if you take the VTA off, the popping will stop, my last one used to pop and bang all the time and flame like **** (no, didnt have a flamer kit fitted) LOL

Must admit... you cant beat those facial expressions of people that are caught unawares when the exhausts pops as you pass them as they walk along the pavement

FYI, on my Type R, i had to port the wastegate to cure the boost creep - this was with a 3" bore exhaust + induction kit. AFAIK, mapping would not have lowered the boost as the wastegate was just not bypassing enough air to keep boost in touch.

Was OK until I added the induction kit - which made the breathing a lot easier causing the boost creep - felt nice hitting high boost (over 1.6bar) although the engine probably didnt like it much!

Cheers Tony!

AFAIK, The Apexi is a pretty good ecu and ought to be able to rein in the boost creep after Andy has another session on it. The boost feels much better up to 4th which is where it starts to boost a little too high for my liking and on full load in fifth, it doesnt feel very nice when I hit fuel cut!
