Default What do you think of the protective mesh for the rad that i have fitted

Hi, just wondering what people think of the mesh that i have fitted to protect the radiator from being damaged by stones and that. I do not want it to look like a chav mobile!

Looks ok but I think it would look better black, and maybe a larger mesh.

Tony.
One of my choices was using black mesh, but could not find any. I thought of painting it black as i could not find any black mesh, but decided to leave it as it was. Whole point of the mesh is to protect the rad so getting a larger mesh was a no go.

That was my first choice, but fitting in on the intercooler appeared a bit tricky so put the mesh where i did as it was easy.

Cheers thats one positive vote. Nice to have somethin a bit different to all the others and i don't thinks it's to chav. I just do not want to be associated with them in anyway!

Looks ok but quite restrictive especially on the scoop, or is just the picture making it look restrictive?!

Picture makes it look that way, but there is plenty of air still getting through, have only caught one HUGE moth in it so far.

I like the meshing, but sorry do have to agree with some others. Think it would look better black, as it stands out a bit much.

+ a bit undecided on the scoop being done, but could look different black.

( + good effort on doing something different)

Secured at the top by bending it to fit around where the number plate is screwed on. Middle has a couple of tie raps and the base is bent over and resting on a piece of thick foam tape. Its a tight fit so does not move, hope this helps you.

I had to take the scoop of the bonnet, then cut and bent the mesh around the inside of the scoop and then secured it with cable ties. Hope this helps you.

Red Mica Classics are best left standard, there are hardly any on the road these days compared to the other colours.
Please undo what you have done and *never* mess with the car again in this cruel way

LOL Danny, you'll be pleased to hear that mine is still very much the way it was.

This just makes it rarer.
