New TRU Development car (JDM STi)
Took delivery of our new car today, slightly used MY04 STi JDM.
Bought from Iain Litchfield and what a top class service from start to finish, thanks Iain
Anyway, having owned it for 10 minutes and with a freshly filled fuel tank it was time to start some mild modifications to its appearance.
First off, swap the gold alloys and rather worn REO70's for anthracite alloys and brand new REO70's.
While I had the jack out I thought it was time to fit the TRU carbon fibre lip spoiler, never seen one on a Silver car before so was quite excited.
Time to stand back as the clouds came over and have a look.
That will do for today, hopefully going to Billing Aqadrome tomorrow, then time for some more modifications, both visual and mechanical...

Thanks Jasoon, BTW I have another set of these wheels for sale in the car and accessories section
Thanks too for the comments zoton!
Andy, it is probably the one you drove, but now minus said exhaust; I hope you drove her carefully!
Midlife, there will be one available for the bugeye soon, currently under development.
Dan, YHPM.

*snigger* don't worry mate, Mrs C and Iain were both in the car with me
What exhaust do you have now? Did you notice much difference in power?
BTW I didn't see the car at Billing yesterday - were you there? There wasn't a single JDM new shape STI on the SIDC stand, I was beginning to wonder whether for some reason I'd made a horrible mistake ordering one. Maybe it's just that people are still afraid of imports?

Took some time didnt it Nathan? Goes really well, will go even better soon though
Andy, I took delivery of it with the standard exhaust, so cant comment I'm afraid.
Didint go to Billing yesterday, only got the car yesterday afternoon so did what I could and went to Billing today. Was on the Ultimate Japanese stand, behind Scoobycity.
Didnt see any other JDMs either
I wouldnt think twice about buying an import, have done it before and will do it again (but not for some time!)

It's probably as well you got the std exhaust, the one it had was awful. Iain did try quite hard to sell me a Milltek system though, claiming surprisingly large power gains, so I did wonder whether maybe the standard system was very restrictive.
Glad you're happy with it, though - it's a really nice car and I can't wait for mine

The WR1's do have the PFF's, but the base cars were originally supplied from Japan with the same wheels as I now have (anthracite, with REO70 tyres)
(with a spare set still sat in the garage )

no problems Scott
I think the anthracite alloys look better than the Gold ,the STi ones also fill the arch better coz of the off-set than the standard WRX wheels....
Any more news on the splitters?
