Thumbs up Slow *** driver!

Thanks Tony.
I notice you didn't have any trouble with the camera speed when taking pictures of me on the move!!! DOH

The weather certainly picked up this afternoon. The hill record went during the second run-off.

RB Simon - I'm impressed with your choice of footwear. All the better for stomping on the loud pedal?

A couple of questions:-

1. Is the Quattro the SWB nutter version?

2. How the heck does that Puma get anywhere with it's grasscutter spoiler...?

All the better for stomping round the paddock which was inch deep in mud and s*1t!! (I do possess a pair of proper driving boots - although based on my performance yesterday, maybe I shouldn't bother with them!!!) - I either need my proper boots or no boots on to be able to get in the car!

Not sure - I know absolutely zip about Quattros. It was in the entry list as a Quattro Sport, so I suspect not. It is pretty rapid though. The car was driven at the last meeting by a bloke who did have (not sure if he's still got it) a "nutter version" - and f@3k was it quick

Hillclimbs are run on smooth tarmac tracks
I believe the Puma has only done a couple of meetings. It is a 2.2T 4WD spaceframed beast. Still requires a bit of fettling at the moment and would appear to be a bit of an animal - not sure how many horses are lurking beneath Amazing off the line

RB Simon,

Is the Quattro Keith Murray's ? The guy owns/run Dialynx and he does some very special things to Audi based engines.

His silver SWB one is a real weapon, howls like a banshee on speed.

Hey, nice photos Tony

Cheers

The Audi was actually Keith Edwards' (still prepared by Dialynx). He shared the car last meeting with Keith Murray. Not sure what KM is doing - haven't seen his car yet this season. I hope he hasn't got rid of it, because as you say, it is an awesome beast, and especially when it's being driven by KM!

The Puma was reported to have 500hp although it wasn't running right over the weekend.

T5NYW- No, not mine, I took the Vanquish out for the weekend.

It's high time Standley in the Evo was put in his place again, just like he always was in the racing class.

He's had the road-going class to himself for too long. Granted, he's not bad and his car is good but he's not leading material by any stretch of imagination.

Somebody get a Scooby or something to win, and fast!!

Andy,
Simon did go real well, so no need for him to belittle himself

Spoon,
I'd love to have a go myself in my scoob but his evo would halve my time might do the £170 learner course there There should be a 4X4 road car day soon with Scoobs EVO's and 6R4's etc, and the Puma
