Finally got the engine bay done (thanks Big Goon!)
Alas...no before picture (camera battery was flat) but take my word for it - it was filthy ! This is the result of that wicked CD2 stuff. I finally got around to doing it after months of putting it off - rotten weather, laziness, beer was opened already...
Many, many thanks to Big Goon for sending the CD2 gear over (we can't get it where I am) and for all the advice on how to clean the bay which really helped a lot.
Can you tell I'm pleased with the results? Cheers again BG !

Not in France newboy...not in France
Anyone know if there's a Halford's in Inverness or the surrounding region? I'll be over there later this year (God and Bin Laden willing)...

Cheers m8 - I hope to get some more "business" for you next month - bit of a run going on in Burgogne, about 20 scoobs, a Porker, Evo VI and Lotus Elise taking part so time for a little advertising

Talizman, that's brilliant - thank you so much ! Showed a couple of colleagues the results this morning and I reckon I'll be bringing a suitcase load back with me.

Very easy to do. Get the engine warm but not hot (short drive to the car wash centre). Open bonnet (!) and protect various bits'n'pieces - intercooler, air intake, alternator. Spray on can #1 (I used nearly the whole can as the motor was filthy). Leave bonnet open and engine idling for 15 minutes. Rinse off with a power wash, spray on the detailer (can #2) and leave the bonnet open for 20 minutes. Job done. I let the engine idle after the second (detailer) spray so it would bake it on even better.
