Pic request: 01-04 imprezas with 18s and lowering springs please :-)
Hi.
Im waiting for my new scoob to arrive and trying to decide weather to go for some moderate lowering springs, say -25/30mm, or to go for the whiteline flat out springs, -40mm i think. I think I want the whitelines but am a bit worried they may be a bit too much.
Ive got some 18" arospeed RSGTs to go on it, so nreed pics of cars with 18s fitted.
Thanks, Rob.

Rob,
It's something like 1" and 1 1/4" for the prodrive springs but I can't remember which axle is lowered more
I'd have thought if you went for the -40mm ones then get yourself a decent dentist to put your teeth back in regularly (unless you already put them in a glass anyway ). Also, you'd probably need some uprater / replacement bump stops as you'd be bottoming out a lot
I've got the prodrives on an my02 and like them when you get used to them - IMO they aren't as harsh as the eibachs' (flame suit on)
They get rid of the "on stilts" feel a lot but I still find there's a bit of dive/roll and I've got solid rear droplinks - it's a damper comfort characteristic which you'll not get rid of unless you change the dampers.
They improve the higher speed stability quite a bit on twisties so you can press on

Thanks for all the pics, Im thinking Prodrive is the way to go, looks realy nice with the 18s.
My bodykit is going to be pretty low at the front anyway, so yeah, looks like a good idea
Would like to see one thats realy low though
Cheers, Rob.

Understood. Forgive me for being defensive. Thing is I’m away from home right now and when I log onto SN I can’t see nothing but links for all the pictures. I thought this was something to do wit the new SN format. From what you are saying when you log on you are getting to see the pictures come up automatically, I can’t; that doesn’t happen for me. Not sure why that is.

Lovely R.B !! I was gonna get some white flaps but thought they might scrape, so it begs the question, do yours scrape ??
The H&R springs can be bought from most dealers, i got mine from GGR (Graham Goode Racing) they are 150 +VAT.

Ross,
Sorry mate unable to help you, the front and rear bumper extensions were on the car when i bought it. I had a look round them and cant see any make on them. I hazard a guess that they might of been added to the car when it was still in Japan ??
Rob - good choice of spring my friend
