Cool Pic Request: MY00 Rubbing strip close-up.

I've just bought some side rubbing strips for a 5-door MY00, and would like to check the exact location before I mount them, so any pictures would be gratefully recieved.
Thanks,
Martin.

Cheers Misty,
got any shots from about a foot away? I'd like to see how they go in relation to the crease.

Martin.

Cheers,
That would make sense given the location of the tape on the back of the strips. My 4-door had them fitted by the dealer, and they put them under the crease (but wanted pics to see how far), so I can honestly say I'm now confused.

Cheers,
think I'll go that way. Makes lining everything up easier.
Thanks,
Martin.

With the crease in the centre. you might get water building up.
As a Product design we try not to design things like that cuz water will run along the crease. or is this a different case?

Ray

I would look down the door and see which part of the door sticks out the most cuz thats the area that other doors will hit first.

My 1st scoob had them over the crease but my current one has them below as per pic.

The same dealer fitted them on the separate cars so i guess it's down to personal choice.

I've just had a look at the MY98 accessories catalogue and it shows the side moulding protector kit fitted below the crease in the pic (part no SACC1196)
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies, now, does anyone know where I can find an Exploding Head GIF?
