limited list of modifications; 98rs; 2.5 litre bridged deck block, bce cnc heads, pauter x-pattern rods, j e forged ceradyne (my dad's firm) coated pistons, spearco 3 & 1/2" fattie fmic, sds ecu, msd 550cc injectors, m62 blower, chalak dogbox, prodrive wr susp, spearco water injection. it produces astounding torque at about 1100 rpm. i posted pics in 2002 i think but it's been re-arranged since then. enjoy, and pints on me!!
Bloody hell, thats nice piece of kit! Thats one way of curing any turbo lag, LOL. slap a supercharger on it. Very useful pictures too. Especially the gear box opened up.
lovely mota mate.
how does a supercharge differ from a turbo?
torque comes on at just above idle. this made the massive trans cluster a must. but the combination of awd and torque makes for an explosive launch, even with a friendly clutch release. now that i've got the heads, the reworked blower collector, and a few other pieces flowed out, it has a fair amount of horse power so the torque doesn't stop building at the top. but that's not the point. the point is to rule in traffic on anything.
