That is a lovely example
Love the colour - I had a silver MY95 5dr with cloth bucket seats & MY00 alloys.
But your wheels really suit the car
Tidy.

Thanks for the nice comments,

The bodywork is in exceptional condition.. i bought the car for its condition not its age.
I saw a lot newer scoobys in much worse condition.

I`m from north Manchester area.. cant be more specific cos of tea leaves,
Its got a group N panel filter and Magnex rear box.
Its running standard apart from that.
Plans for more mods are... brakes.. its got uprated pads and grooved discs but it need big discs and 4 pot calipers. the godspeed group buy looks tempting but, christmas is looming...

It's one of the best mods for the early classics (96 and before). Do it without further hesitation.
That's a lovely wagon by the way. Are you going to colour code the mirrors?

Thanks for the comment... the paintwork is mint.. I dont know if it comes accross well on the pics, Its had a full Meguiars treatment. The paintwork in the "flesh" looks like a new car.. almost.
Not sure if I`m gonna colour code yet.
I`m getting the brakes sorted first before I go for the scooby ecu..(group buy from Godspeed)
So you highly recommend it do you? Does it spool up faster?

I certainly would recommend a ScoobyEcu/Scubachip.
Car is far more responsive, better mid range and better peak boost (depending on map), better fuelling and ignition advance. The big bonus for JDM cars is that the fuelling map is altered for 97/98 ron fuel so you can run on Optimax alone.
Do a search on here - there's plenty of threads about them and I've yet to see anybody who's been disappointed with one.
For what you gain, they're ludicrously cheap as well.

Cheers for that Goldeneye,
I done a search, it all seems positive. was this a similar ecu upgrade that Prodrive offered?

I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong, but AFAIK the Prodrive ECU 'upgrades' are complete replacement ECU's. The ScoobyEcu/Scubachip route retains your own ECU - it just has a replacement or additional chip inserted to 'perform the magic'.

ScoobyECU is a safe way, had this on my MY94 WRX Wagon. Basically it's an adaptor board that slots into a slot on the ECU itself. OK, so you have to open up the ECU and pop the chappy on, but it's not that much of a problem TBH.
Prodrive ECU is, as has been said, a complete replacement ECU. Would have thought they are pretty hard to get hold of on thier own.
