There would probably be a market for stickers like this. Perhaps ew4n and Scoobynet LTD could come to an arrangement? If not, then it's perhaps something that the company could look to produce by itself. Maybe via the firm that produced the "Plus" pack stickers?

With all due respect, scoobynet has been promising stickers for months, surely you can't blame people for getting a bit impatient & doing their own?

I made these stickers for myself to advertise this cracking website...as for the copying and use of the scoobynet, who has permission for all the rally graphics and any other logos that are produced, feel honoured scoobynet that people want to advetise this site....
glad u like them...

I am in full agreement with ew4n! I also considered making these up for the boys here, but have been waiting for a. permission, or b. the damn stickers to be available....
I hope the website is not copywrited??
But I understand the diffuculty with getting permissions - Subaru Germany was not really helpful, Subaru USA was very enthusiastic about all logos being out in the public eye, swrt was very strict about their logos - but wont sell you any either... etc etc... but people want to emmulate or advertise thier favoured sites and brands - and when it is not available, then we find ways of doing it anyhow...
(just my humble oppinion, so please dont burn me)

not much of my business on this but ewan's right, logos and designs get copied all the time, but what the parties of the logos should realise is that they are getting more advertisement for free and potentially alot more traffic. another thing is that ewan has not said about selling them, they only asked for people's opinion on what they have made. personally i think this site should get off its chair by the sounds of things and get merchandise made for its followers...for if not its members are obviously going to get their stuff made elsewhere. at the end of this scoobynet should be greatfull that its members are willing to have your site promoted on their cars.

if its not for profit then i cant see the harm. Obviously if he was making a mint from selling scoobynet branded articles and SN were seeing none of it thatd be cheeky, but what hes done is free advertising.

ew4n,
By your last remark I am assuming that you will carry on producing these stickers, using Scoobynet images. Can I remind you AND make it perfectly clear that these images belong to Scoobynet Ltd. If you wish for me to explain the legal implications of this, please email me at SHAUN@SCOOBYNET.CO.UK
This is not me being stupid or arrogant.... We already have an approved manufacturer of Scoobynet products, and apart from the legal side, it would be totally against our policy to let anyone produce these stickers as we already have worked on a really good relationship with our present supplier.
Apologies again, for the fact that these have not been available on Scoobyshop, but we are working on this as I type.
Regards,
Shaun.

how far up your own **** can you get.......
It's a sticker FFS
Scoobynet is a BBS or is it not ??
If I were ew4n I'd take the sticker off for no other reason than it seems to promote a bbs that is so far up it's own are that it's lost sight of why it was conceived.
All just my own opinion btw

No, Scoobynet is a commercial company that happens to offer a BBS on the internet. It's trying to offer spin-off merchandise to it's existing market (i.e. us) using suppliers it's already engaged with. They're within their right to do so. However, most companies would recognise that free publicity (that is not detrimental) is good for business.

Why not post up the legal implications for all to see ?
With the greatest respect in the world from someone who has been waiting patiently for stickers like this from the SN shop.
I appreciate that this site takes a lot of time and effort to look after and I thank Simon and the mod team for that.
However
Your idea of things receiving 'immediate attention' or 'as I type' or 'very soon' doesn't really happen that quickly. IMHO. Examples would be, Plus Membership packs, Login / out buttons, for sale forum revamp.
For example This thread shows you were saying things like this would be available through the Scoobyshop 'very soon'. But is dated Monday, September 23, 2002 13:02
This stickers debate has been going round the houses for ages. It wasn't that long ago that Simon allowed Salsa King to produce stickers until the shop was up and running again.
What's the problem with people doing things like this off their own back until the merchandise is available through the shop? If everyone waited for the stuff in the shops it might never happen IMHO.
Nathan..
