Posted for Robin69 his newly stickered Scooby.
He wanted something different, so we used a combination of Silver and Prism vinyl, which changes colour with the light.
Pictures shown before the etched glass Sunstrip went on and will be uploaded later.
So what do you think?

Question

Who does specialist vinyl decals like that (custom ones), and how much do they cost. (Rough idea?)

i do and the other guy who started the post i suppose...and cost is really based per job...anywhere from a fiver to 1000's.. i have completly wrapped vehicles in vinyl before..take a ganda at our website..there are only a few examples of graphics there...i have been mainly sign oriented since i set my company up a yr and a half ago.. but done graphics for other companies for yrs..design and fitting.. and just started doing them again since 2f2f..

i would budget between 100 and 250ish if u need a ball park, maybe a liitle more if u wanted specialist vinyl...but it all depends on artwork and what material and at what size..

hope this helps..

come here and have a look at whats on offer..

Hi
Thanks Ewan for the comments
As Ewan said, we can do whatever is required. The full vinyl wrap is great, we have done one as well , then airbrushed over the top. This means that you can do a whole car, then when you a fed up and fancy a change , the vinyl peels off and you start again.

We can literally do everything, this is the Cougar airlines 727 plane that we airbrushed.

Couldn't find a better picture quickly but will replace later
And Ewan the colour change vinyl looks great!

Question

nice one...i was involved in the B.A tail designs and i know how much of a pain in the **** aircraft are to work on..looks great, fuuny u should mention the air brush as i have just borrowed one off another user on here named 'pele' ( ta love ) but yet to use it on anything constructive..i use my geber edge normally for fades and stuff but sometimes smaller stuff gets to pixalated...

where are u based..dont want to cause a fight over jobs LOL..

have u tried using frost vinyl direct onto the side of a vehicle yet. looks fantastic...coz it creates a matt version clour of the car...real subtle..

hopefully by christmas i will be in my bigger unit...fitting bay the lot..then i can really start going for it..

for any who wants to know we can take a digital picture of your car and super impose the graphics on to it and produce a visual, with out so much as touching the car..

almost tempted to run a graphix competition as a promotion when i move units...anyone interested..best graphic design by a scooby owner for there car...decided by a vote on here gets there graphics done for FREE...

lets see a show of hands..anyone up for it...min of 50 entrants ??

display plates as booby prizes for top 5..(not for road use of course)

and ill think of something else for another ten runners up ..LOL

Our main website...

And an example of our airbrushing!!
Competition truck...Actually quite like the idea of a best graphics competition

Talking

gotta take my hat off, that is superb airbush work..and with a talent he will never be poor..!

so whats ur role in the company.. i constantly get ribbed as the sticker-man...

we are more signage orientated than artwork to that extreme.

well if i can more interest i will start to put some rules and guidelines together and yes i say keep out the trade.. and base in on vinyls graphics / prints rather than airbrush rather keep it to something i can do and afford LOL..

Glad your pleased Rob. He took them with a non digi camera, and will be devloping them end next week, after some work for another rockingham race car.
Ewan, my role is part marketing and part ideas/design. Personally cannot airbrush to save my life. You may interested to see our airbrushed smart car, in the style of Alien. Just needs laquering, but when ready I will post some pics. Mercedes are doing an article, and the thing looks evil!!

Lightbulb

Can I suggest something bright, possibly reflective, and very visable. No, it won't look cool, but will hopefully stop people from smashing into it. You must have it cleverly disguised as a lamp post or something.
