I must admit I do prefer the Blue R's with Gold wheels and only bought my Silver one because it was heavily upgraded over the standard spec.

I also think the V-Limited had a taller 5th gear??? about 22MPH per 1000rpm, as appossed to 19.5mph per 1000 of the stndard R/RA Box. Im just for waiting my clutch to go, so I get the taller gear fitted

I certainly know the 5's had the different 5th, but I do not know about the 6's.????

yeah, quite a lot.

The roof vents are not as cool as you think.

They don't direct air at you, you can't really use them above 60mph and they are noisy.

I'm not surprised it went so quick, since you practically gave it away!!

Did it go as a result of being in the 'trader?

The roof vent on my v5 STi Type R V-Ltd still has the official stickers in japanese on the underside, it has 80Kph with a cross through it so I take it that it should not be opened above 50mph

I asume it is so it doesn't get "ripped" off the top of the car

Yep, best looking and quickest Classic there is. I've got a V5 Type R Ltd with roof vent etc...

Also got V6 front lip, Link, Full decat, K&N, Morettes, V8 rear water tank and loads more. Nothing is as quick apart from 2 GSXR1000's on the A5 every morning.

The world is your stage.....

not sure on the 50mph bit guys..Mines really solid...forgot to close it the other day and did 80 and it was ok NP. Maybe its just that its not supposed to "BE OPENED" over 50mph. As I think it would probebly pull back hard???

If that was the case why have on a rally car that does 140mph?? Do they have to shu them at that speed as well as drive and map read at the same time??...:-)

to answer the original question, there is no noise at all from the vent when it is closed. You forget its there.

Also, I have had mine open (accidentally) at 100mph with no problems. Don't plan on trying it again though.
