rear clusters standard on the 8, they differ from the 7 considerably, mitsubishi have opted for the more popular lexus style lamp units.

Trev, looks fantastic. Just about to make the change myself. Am I right in thinking it is metal trim around the bumper where the exhaust goes under? Any chance of a closer pic of the rear box?

Just can't decide between red and black!

Yes there is a piece of metal trim under the bumper. I assume it's there to prevent the HKS exhaust system melting the bumper!

PS - I think the car looks fantastic in black! My mate has one in the same colour!

It might be quick, but I cant stand those looks, sorry. Gone downhill since the VI IMO. And those rear lights are awful, look like something of a corsa..

Very nice but needs bigger rims, and I'd have to put a "normal" shaped plate on the back. It's alright being different/unconventional/plainawkward but the square one just doesn't fit properly.

Cool

Hi guys, to answer a few questions, the metal under the exhaust is to shield bodywork from heat, the FQ has the upgraded HKS Super Drager full system exhaust fitted. The tarmac, snow and gravel button changes the diff settings for various road conditions, havent had a chance to play with it yet really, but imagine its similar to the 7 stage diff on the type R impreza.
Matt, heres a pic of the super drager exhaust, will get a close up of the shield for you later:

ADP,
The motor is UK Ralliart FQ300, thought it better to do it properly and get the full warranty package.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, that is lovely. The only Impreza that comes close im my opinion is the STi Spec C, both mental rally cars that are road legal.
Have fun you lucky barsteward

Trev - ta m8. Did you do anything else over an above the stadard car?

Looks superb, defo need to get an order ours now. Have you got any plans to put it on a rolling road to see what power it is? From what I've read, a lot of standard ones are around the 290 bhp figure, so you've got to think the FQ could 320ish.

Seen these pics on a US site of a red one with a very nice interior

So it looks as if it is a red FQ300 with leather interior, and privacy glass as well, I think!

Matt

BTW did you get it from a Mitsi dealer or thru Xtreme?

Hi Matt.
Got the car through Mitsubishi UK. FQ does look stunning with leather option, mine has standard interior though, should have gone for the leather. My FQ300 is standard throughout, have to say that the red looks good too though. Yes, get an order in, Ive heard Mitsu UK only doing 900 official VII's total.
Pic attached of my interior: not brill quality
