Hi all,

This is my car, as I'd like it to be!

Before I splash out large sums of money on something that's not going to 'work', I'd like to gauge opinion. So what do you think?

Did you make those wrc rear lights and white indicators with photoshop? If you did, nice job... Anything else you faked? The wheels maybe? That's the point of the whole topic right??
It looks great btw!

only joking, where did you get those front indicators, they look clearer than other clear indicators?

MY00 DBM, Gold PD7's, PIAA's, 3.5" BB (is that a Scoobysport BB?), Clear front, side and rear indicator lenses.....

Thanks for the feedback guys, I guess it's time to come clean about what's real and what isn't

Phil: actually it's not WW, it's Autoglym Super Resin Polish (the bottle with the red label). I'm very happy with the finish but I do keep finding bits of white residue left behind - is WW any better?

The front and side indicators are real. The lenses came from

Here's my photochopped WRX, too bad I don't own the car to make this a reality...

hows that strike everyone? besides the wheels, give me a break on the wheels, I couldn't find any others and it was my first try at photochopping.

Let's see some pics of the car with it's real wheels and real rear indicators then - it looks like you've done a really good job with Photoshop .....

I've got the PPP BB too.....

<B>I don't live in north London, but I do work near Heathrow airport. Are you ever in that area? If so, can I come and take a look at your car sometime please?[/quote]

I'm only in that area when I'm flying somewhere and then the car stays at home. When the traffic is good though, I live about 30 mins from Heathrow round the North Circular. You're welcome round one night after work if you like - there's also a rather nice STi 5 RA - V Limited in my street I'm sure you'd like to have a look at, belonging to a certain Mr Scott Davies....

Ta,

Matt

Very nice - I'm guessing you did the 2 door conversion, spoiler and fog lights, yes?

As a challenge, how about doing a convertible Scooby with the roof down? I might have a go over the weekend.

Matt: I'll post the real pic this evening. Ye of little faith

Andy.

Regarding the rear lights, yes they are a bit awkward to fit, but not that much of a pain.

I had to remove the passenger side rear light cluster as it was leaking water.

Took around 15 minutes of very gentle persuasion, then some gunk to re-seal it properly.

Don't rush it or you'll crack it.

Brilliant job on the convertible thread

AndyC_772:
The car looks like mine (thank god I am living in Switzerland!). The only 2 optical differences I have on my car are: The wheels are PD7 in ANTHRACITE (choose those!!) and the front foglight-covers that are missing on mine! Ah, I missed something: the colour of the bonnet looks different as well (thank god!).

Chiark:
I had to put the backlight on by myself aswell, since the dealer didn't seal them properly (water leak). If you have the correct material, it shouldn't really be hard to do it (I could do it!), right?
BTW, Car looks excellent!!!
Cheers

Any chance of seeing a picture of the anthracite wheels please Swiss (or anybody else)?

I did try making the wheels in the photo grey and didn't like it much, but I haven't seen a picture of the anthracite wheels to know whether or not I got it right. I might try and get the dealer to show me them before I part with any cash though

Andy.

Hello AndyC_772

Unfortunately I haven't got any pictures (digital camera) of my car yet since I probably spent too much on my car.
But try this one:
