Here`s another one. Just thought it would make a change to all the car piccies. Oh yes and I could have bought four and a half bikes to one P1 and no problems. And no I dont smoke Marlboro!

Been there, done that
Decided i liked life too much a year ago though.( after two high speed crashes, last one i flipped it in 3rd @ 110 mph, knocking myself out for 20 minutes and breaking my left arm in the process).
Got back on as soon as i could, but the thrill was gone, roads are`nt good enough, and when they are, you never know whats gonna be around the next corner, be it a pile of cow sh*t, a diesel spillage, or a nice Police officer with a laser gun pointing at ya!
Got to admit, i am itching atm to get another one ready for this summer, but i dunno, at the end of the day, is it really worth the risk?? ...i`ve lost two good friends, i`ve got another two who have both been told that eventually they are going to lose a leg /legs through the damage caused by bike accidents... same old story... "it`ll not happen to me" ...but it does ;/

Dick. No road piccies here mate. I agree it`s too dangerous these days, great for pub runs and pulling wheelies tho.
Sorry to hear about your mates tho, luckily no-one I know has seriouslt hurt themselves.
If any of you lot want to help sponsor a racer mail me and I`ll tell you what he`s doin.

That looks like fun Arron, I have both, but looking at trading up (across)(?) from the Blackbird to an as yet undecided sports bike, possibly a 'V twin'.
Plenty of scope for fun on the roads if you're careful.
Mike.

I disagree, you can still safely have loads of fun on the roads, I went out yesterday with my mates and we had an absolute blast (and it was wet) . You just have to have the patience to take it easy when it's not safe to blast it and find yourself some quality empty roads in the middle of nowhere.
I'm fast becoming the "empty roads in the middle of nowhere oracle" (well for roads in the South East at least!!).
Stay safe but have plenty of two wheeled fun
Matt.

I'd definately favour the 'Priller if they'd put decent looking lights on it. They Duke is cool, but too many poseurs have 'em. We could do with more choice in the "big twins" (oo-eer, missus) dept.

I`ve ridden or have access to most bikes and if you want a twin get a MilleR
Loaded with bits and still comfortable for my dad and he`s 60 and only been riding for 2 years. VFR 800 to Miller :

Quite right. You can ride Jap twins in the wet! I've lost count of the number of Dukes I've seen parked up at the roadside, waiting for the recovery truck....:-)
