Sorry Arron, I can now see what you have been talking about. I did not think it would be this bad. What are they doing to sort out the problem? Hope it all gets sorted soon.

Aaron,
That is a lot worse than I imagined from the previous threads on the subject
Perhaps you should forward these to IM or Prodrive for their opinions if you don't get anywhere quickly with your dealer.
Hope you get it sorted

The clay bar from Wax Wizzard will get the brown ****e off + all the other crap that your car has picked up along the way.
I guess that had I not clay bar'd my car at an early stage, mine would look the same. It was not far off however and I did get it respectable again.
If you don't fancy doing this yourself, you can insist that the dealer gets it valeted for you.
With regard to the wheels, there's not a lot you can do, other than spend a couple of hours a week cleaning them, which is beyond the realms of practicality.
Because the wheels are genuine Subaru items, you should not have a problem getting them changed, along with the disks and pads. The pads will be changed to DS2000's which mkes the problem go away. Your dealer will umm and arhh about it a lot, but you must ask them to contact Mike Wood at Prodrive. He will set them straight and get the ball rolling for you.
(all of the above taken from experience)
Wishing you luck

DazV,
I bet Arron has not spent 2 hours a week cleaning the front wheels alone, and why should he. As I said, that is beyond practicality.
I did, and only got them sorta clean.
Rich,
DS2000 pads don't do it. In fact they are the total opposite. They hardly create any brake dust, and what they do is easily removed.
Ian P,
The mudflaps come standard with the 18" wheels upgrade and are to stop the spray from the wheels covering the bodywork. They don't however have any effect on the brake dust.
Arron,
As I said, get your dealer to contact Mike Wood at Prodrive. Once Mike's involved, you'll get it sorted.
Problem is, the dealers simply don't know what to do.
Regards
Kurt
