Wink

Very, very, nice...

Makes my efforts to get a Prodrive Performance Pack and an intercooler-splitter in addition to my current mods, pale into insignificance.

I really should go back to contracting and earn the big money again.

Do you have trouble figuring out when to stop tuning-up a car, or deciding on new projects?!

Regards,
Squizz.

Adam99RS

I have a UK94 with an Apexi boost and fuel controller, however with anything more than 1.25 bar (18PSI) it pinks like crazy on Super Unleaded.

Does the Apex Super ITC timing controller retard the igniction ?

How does this thing work ? any ideas ?

Thanks

Thanks uys..the Apex piece is a piggyback to the factry ecu. It allows you to change the voltage seen by the MAF sensor, thus allowing you to run richer or leaner. Also allows you to moniter O2 voltage, TPS position, etc....nice piece. The Apex ITC allows you to change the ignition timing at certain RPM points by up to +/-15 degrees..also piggybacks to the factpry ecu. Not as deal as a LINK, etc, but easy to use, and work well for street use.

Blackscooby....the ITC uses 4 wires to hookup to the ecu. Very easy to use. It is limited in that it only has 5 or 6 adjustment *****, but it is simple, and easy to use. I was running 1.2 bar on my T3/T4 on my 2.5 motor (9.7:1 compression) with US94 octane fuel (I think its the same as your 98RON).

Overall though, the LINK or Unichip sound like they can do the same things, all in one self contained unit. I might go this way on my STi4. I know its limited in terms of its MAP sensor readings, and small microprocessor, bt this is 90% a street car....minimal roadracing use (abe 1 track day a year), and 5-6 drag racing events per year.

The Subaru colr? i think ts rally blue mica......it's a half tint lghter than the STi V5 color.

As far as performance, a 2.5 turo is nice....mine ran a 12.68@108 (albeit on race gas)....quite quick, and great low end power. Top end though it's like a trcuk...only revs to 6250. I cannot wait to get the STi motor in the car. I drove a lightly modded STi55 while in Tokyo last year....felt about as quick as my car did.
