Just got home from a few days in Monte Carlo for the rally.
I arived just in time for the start in Casino square Thursday.
Friday i drove 300Km's to stage 5/6, Saturday i spent the morning playing in my hire car and drove the Col de Turini stage, i filmed the full run from start up to the snow covered summit and then down the steep decent, great fun. The brakes were smoking at the bottom.
I then did the hike from hell, 5 miles up an Alpine mountain, saw the 25 remaining WRC cars through and then hiked 5 miles back down again. Ouch, my legs hurt. That feat deserved a night on the town so off to the Stars N Bars for the night with me.
Today i spent the day in the service park, i got hold of some VIP passes so could go right into the main service area that joe public doesnt have access to. I got right in the thick of it as the 3 Citroens went through final service and then came in for the pre finish ceromony checkup. Got some great shots of the madness that was the french press, plus some shots of the drivers meeting Prince Albert of Monaco.
I took around 250 Photos, here are just a selection. Hope you enjoy them.
P.S. I took a load of Photos of the 2003 Impreza WRC, i'll post those seperately.

Great behind the scenes pics. I'm envious looking out the window at rain lashed Scotland! How sad.
Strange to see Eamonn Boland out in old shape Impreza as he was running a bugeye WRC last year.
The Subaru team are starting off on the back foot already. Are they only running 2 cars on each event this year? If so I don't fancy them putting up much of a fight for the manufacturers championship. Tommin Mak's car didn't look as if it was off the road too far and there were spectators up ahead when viewed from the in-car shots? Altogether a bad result for the Scooby's.

The Clio was a great little car once i got used to the initial roll and general slopiness in the steering.
It was good fun finding its limits, it was far more stable than the Golf TDi at high speed on corners, probably due to its better weight balance due to having a light 1.2 litre up front.
A Clio Williams with a hydralic handbrake would be perfect for that region!

Nice one John - thank god for broadband too
I didn't think it would be possible to see 190kph in a 1.2 Clio with 3 up - but you managed it
I'll post the rest of my pics ASAP.
