Cool

Must say that the new WRC2003 spoiler is one of the most interesting spoiler designs I´ve seen in years.

It almost makes the UK300 spoiler looks normal......

But if it´s only half as efficient as it looks bad, than it must be THE wonder spoiler

Not trying to be an expert but the scoob is ment to be the most level of all WRC cars when they 'fly' and this spolier is supposed to keep it straight in 'flight'

Cool

Aparently It was designed in house at prodrive and the idea is to reduce the amount of turbulence in the airflow so that the air is straighter when it goes over the horizontal airofoil and so its more efficient, arround 2 times as effective as the last design reportedly

hope this is of interest it is from a source at Prodrive but I don't know how accurate it is

My boss's wife says that spoiler's are called spoiler's as the spoil the look of a car, looking at the yolk I tend to agree

I imagine its to keep the air flowing smoothly over the spoiler as the car is being flung about in all directions, it should keep the air flowing perpendicular to the the wing, thus increasing its efficiency...

Lunchie

Edited to say I wonder who will be the first to have one on a road car here....
