Hi,
i have just imported a new impreza wrx type ra v-limited.Its just arrived from japan and i am going to collect is from the docks tomorrow. This car was owned by zero sports which is one of the biggest car tunners in japan ( so i am very lucky to get it). The car has had thousands of pounds spent on it.
So let me know what you think of it and what i should do to it.
thanks.

Why does it look like its coming from a scrapyard??!!

Nice looking car though m8, looks like a slightly older version of mine maybe.
No roof vent though, strangely....thought all the V-Ltds had them...?

Very nice kit u have there.Love the front end, looks like there is a bit of a hole for a front mount there. As mark pointed out, what happened to the roof vent? I'm not sure why you would take the vent out of an RA, you sure it is an RA V-Limited, it does have a little plaque on the dash, maybe it isn't an RA, they do have many other types of impreza in Japan...

Oh and do you have a BHP figure?

Thumbs up

Looks like an RA v-lim to me ...

I'd be interested to hear what you think of the suspension.

Cheers

Looks wicked..!! Love the front 555 seat's, do you want to do a swap with my standard STi front seats..?? I guess the answer will be NO, I can only try..!!

Anyway, I would image the BHP would be pretty high as well..!!

Are you doing the SVA etc yourself..??

Take car and enjoy..!!

Christian..... how to you get that to be pre 97???? It has the larger 'straight' intercooler (although black and silver.... staonge for an STi??????) and also has the facelifted bonnet and interior. I'd be very very surprised if it was pre 97.

Hi guys
Thanks for your comments. i have just got it home today andit goes very well.Although i couldn't go over 112 mph due to the restriter. i reckon it has about 350bhp i r/ro will prove it. The car is not an sti it a wrx type ra v- limited. i think thats the reason it has no roof vent( so what i reckon it will beat an sti).
The car is an early 99 model. i have a HKS front mount intercooler on order to go on it very soon once i have put it through the SVA.

No probs dude...there are too many variants in scoobs....can you imagine ford having 30 different models of a car LOL.

I could still be wrong - haven't found photographic evidence yet. Warrenders site used to be a great resource for model details but not anymore.

Welcome mad sti.
Great looking car What colour is it?

It's got to be a late 98> as the h/lights are clear the dash and int trim is the later spec as are the door cards

As sammyh said, I expect they kept the FMIC or sold it separatly

Lovely car.

That looks like a std Jap WRX/UK Spec topmount. This car looks like it could be a WRX RA Ltd. Chris Pinnock has the very car.

Don't see any signs of the difflock lights on the Dash
RA Ltds. didn't have roof vents
Also notice the inlet manifold is not powdercoated red - also suggests RA Ltd.

That is a much bigger turbo...cant's see the spec but it looks like maybe a GREADY ball bearing turbo....another question...can't see the actuator arm on the turbo anywhere...is this running a remote wastegate ??? Also notice teh fabricated join pipe from the turbo to the intercooler - this is not std stuff.

Those are Advan wheels I think - lovely.

follow this link - it could be your car.

http://www.zerosports.co.jp/show/BTZ007R2-GC1/001.html

if the car is ex-zerosport you can imagine they used most of their own kit on the car...in which case you have some very good quality expensive components.

I imagine with a turbo like that it used to have a FMIC - the cutout in the front bumper also suggests so. I would get somebody to give the car a good check over and figure out any other modifications (could also have a different manifold and up pipe as the turbo is at an angle). I would be very careful about using the performance on this car until you know whats controlling the engine. If the car has engine management it may not have been remapped for the top mount intercooler....please....just dont make it go bang.

Maybe a more experienced techie could confirm my views.

Ian.

Err, Ian, I must disagree with your RA Ltd comments.

Mine here...

http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?threadid=162756

Which HAS the roof vent AND the red powdercoating on the engine!!

ello Mark,

must disagree back - there was a Impreza WRX RA LTd. It was a limited run of cars - not STI. Blue seats etc..
It also had the smaller UK Style MY99-00 rear wing. Basically an RA but with a nice interior and aircon etc. NOT an sti motor and the other bits.

Your car is an STI m8 !!!

I'll try find you some details m8

Find Chris Pinnock and you'll find the type of car I mean[/b]
