Very easy to criticise in cases like this. It is similar to a tv ad - this could well be seen by millions of people - a few may complain and the ASA would feel obliged to act.
No one's saying you can't go and find this stuff all over the Internet, but we are trying to keep it clean within reason for the vast majority of users. Incidently I would agree, I didn't see much wrong with the stuff that was posted, but I also respect Ian's decision to remove the thread - as you should to.
The simple fact of the matter is that Simon would not be able to keep this site running on his own without people who were willing to give up their own time (for free) to help out. I'm sure Simon would welcome a few more volunteers....
I don't expect that every piece of moderating will be welcomed or understood by everyone and I don't expect anyone to pat me on the back for being a moderator ('good job Chris...' ). It's not some power crazed trip for the people who do it.
A little bit of respect and understanding would be nice though. Posting the last image - whilst 'funny' ain't exactly helpful.

don't get me wrong i'm totally in favour of keeping it clean but it was good clean FUN i'm sure i am not the only one who was dissapointed this thread was locked,hope you dont resent any of this
