Cool

Yes, was on the Evo Active day at Snetterton. I had just overtaken the Focus at the end of the main straight and the (professional) driver was doing his best to keep up (using the curbs through both the "Esses" and "Russel", somthing which I was not prepared to do in my own car).

After the start finish straight was hit, it was hasta la vista to the Focus, but then you would expect that with more gee-gees. But even on the corners, and despite the fact that I was driving within the track and the 4x4 set up was allowing me to pull some distance (despite the Focus driver's best attempts). He only gained ground again round "Corum", as I am not a professional driver and it was my own car and I didn't want to crash!

I also went out in the Focus and it impressed me through the fast corners, but the 90° right before the main straight saw it understeer like a pig, and as mentioned it needed to be curb hopped to even stay in touch with my Escort. Brakes were good (although were protesting by the end of the day and really droning), but it was SOOOOOO underpowered . Perhaps I am spoiled with a proper Cosworth...

Crush,
But I'm a closet Scooby fan, and the gold wheels are my tribute to all "proper" Scoobies

What's the reason behind the big brakes Mike?

They won't stop you any faster when you forget to press the pedal again
